Saad Bin Shafiq is the founder and CEO of Nodes and an independent AI researcher focused on how intelligent systems reason across disconnected data, preserve institutional context, and move from recommendation to accountable action. He grew up in a small village in northern Pakistan with limited access to electricity, the internet, and technical resources. He began learning C# from a textbook, often writing programs on paper before he had regular access to a computer. That habit of working from first principles became the operating method behind his later work. Saad completed a double major in computer science and mathematics at Hunter College in New York. Before founding Nodes, he built companies and software across AI and enterprise systems. In 2023, after experiencing 699 job rejections, Saad founded Nodes. The original wedge was hiring: connecting fragmented applicant, assessment, and post-hire outcome data to identify signals old screening rules missed. The work expanded into a broader architecture for enterprise decisions.
